Starting January 1, 2025, Tulsa Family Psychiatry & Wellness will no longer submit out-of-network (OON) claims to insurance plans when we are not in network with that plan.
This policy applies to both primary and secondary insurance plans. While we have offered out-of-network claim submission in the past, the administrative burden of managing these claims—including coordination, tracking, and follow-up with secondary payers—has grown significantly and requires more staff resources than we can allocate sustainably.
Patients with out-of-network coverage may still be eligible for reimbursement directly from their insurance plan. Upon request, we can provide a superbill for patients to submit to their insurer for potential reimbursement.
